Book One

Desolation

Darkness Rising

"Friends are like condoms. They protect you when things get hard."

That’s what my five best friends said when we were younger. But that was before we found out our souls were fated and that we were destined for more.

I don't know if there's a condom out there that's strong enough to protect us from what's coming our way now.

In the midst of natural disasters wreaking havoc on earth, we must claw our way out of the pit of grief we find ourselves in after a tragic loss, because another realm is counting on us to save it froma great evil.

A realm that we apparently used to call home and can't remember.

Welcome to the disaster that is my life.

Grab a seat and buckle up, because no way am I letting us die.

“If I was meant to be controlled, I would have come with a remote.”

It’s time to become the queen I was prophesied to be. The journey to save my kingdom and restore balance to the realm might break me, but I’ll be damned if I give up without one hell of a fight.

I’m not that arrogant girl they all knew in my previous life.

Let them underestimate me, it’ll make victory that much sweeter.

Devastation

Darkness Rising

“Whatever you do, always give 100% – unless you’re donating blood.”

My new role is not to be taken lightly, but I don’t even know where the hell to start.

I’ve had to learn to be vulnerable enough to admit when I need help from those that I trust, and right now...I need all the help I can get in the oncoming war.

I must gather the Queen's and their armies from all of the realms and pray that we can formulate a plan to destroy Erebus and his dark army for good.

There have been too many sacrifices and lives lost, so I could get to this point.

Their deaths will not be in vain. We will be victorious.
